Be an International Citizen Service Volunteer!

International Citizen Service's (ICS) Youth Action program gives young people from the Philippines and the UK a unique opportunity to live, work and learn together, develop and share valuable skills, and make practical contributions to disadvantaged communities faced with challenging situations in the Philippines.
You could be one of the 140 ICS Filipino and British youth volunteers for the 2012-2013 program. You must be:
  • Filipino, 18-25 years of age (at the time of application)
  • Completed at least high school/secondary education 
  • Willing to live with a British counterpart in a modest accommodation in a host family setting in Hagonoy Bulacan, Cebu City and Carood Municipalities in Bohol. 
  • Flexible, open-minded and with a genuine commitment to learning 
  • Sensitive to the needs of others and can work within a team 
  • Fit and can commit to undergo an active three-month volunteer work (including preparatory training activities)
ICS is a three-year program with the first batch of volunteers starting on October 2012. Application is all year round. Only short-listed applicants will be notified and will be invited to attend the assessment day.
