Pilar Pilapil on RH Bill "The Lord didn't tell you to be foolish"

Beauty Queen & Superstar Pilar Pilapil

The thing that Pilar Pilapil said that struck me the most was "I believe that the Lord said, go to the world & multiply. But he didn't tell you to be foolish" expressing her clear support to reproductive health and the modern use of contraception including that of the contraceptive pills.

But the beauty queen/actress expressed grave opposition to abortion, which reporter Ricky Lo goes to acknowledge by saying "ah, of course". Which the RH Bill strongly agree in its Guiding Principles (Section 3.J.) that "While this Act recognizes that abortion is illegal and punishable by law, the government shall ensure that all women needing care for post-abortion complications shall be treated and counseled in a humane, non-judgmental and compassionate manner".

I laud Ms. Pilapil for her brave and straightforward answers toward the RH Bill and giving her 'open' supportive stance on it. Though just recently we have heard of the accident she went through, our admiration and support became overwhelming.

Take time to view Ricky Lo's candid interview with Ms. Pilar Pilapil and do comment!

MANILA, Philippines — Hours before the tragedy, Pilar Pilapil candidly answered questions about RH Bill, her selective stand on roles being offered to her and her beauty secret, during the presscon of Vagina Monologues.

According to initial reports, two armed men forcibly took Pilar's car around 9:30pm in Riverbanks, Marikina City. Pilar, who sustained several stab wounds and concussions, was with another female companion named Rosel Rosalem during the incident. Pilar is currently being treated in a
private hospital and is already in stable condition.
